My mom would not let me replace the aquaguard. But then I doubt AO Smith yearly costs are not going to be any lower. I mean most of these machines use the same basic parts which have a limited shelf value.

hmm..yes amc lower the better, for eg. we have Philips water purifier which is no longer avail. its amc is pretty much change cartridge its only UV one though and i found it better than current, both UV based eureka forbes and kent models as i took demo of them. Eureka forbes UV model actually increased the TDS in the water after filtration o-0 which should never happen for a non ro, non mineral based purifier.

The most annoying part is that most of these water purification companies are reluctant to provide pre demo before purchase. Its pretty much impossible to know what actual quality of water one gets until one uses it.

Ha! Ya suppose but too lazy for it, :D gonna try LG if they give demo as the person who spoke to said LG does that. So hopefully next week. I don't get it though been like 40yrs probably since water purifiers started popping up in India and we don't have one top notch high quality water purifier at reasonable price.
