Very good news for all KBS viewer!!!!!!!!!!!
I just come to know that Doordarshan is also keen to retain this channel in its platform, since it is an international channel, and Korea and Japan are both allies of India unlike China, which is an arch rival of all three nations namely India, South Korea and Japan.

Well in order to view the channels like Deutch World Television (DWTV) from Germany Deutschland, Nippon Hōsō Kyōkai World (NHK World) from Japan and Korean Broadcasting Service World (KBS World) from South Korea require paying of carriage money to Doordarshan in order to show these channels. Earlier KBS WORLD , NHK World and DWTV was charged Rs. 6,000,000p by Doordarshan last year. However due to propping up of more Indian channels private mainly, these year the amount to be charged by Doordarshan was raised to Rs.120,000,000p which is quite double the amount, of that of last year. So, KBS World informed Doordarshan that Korean economy is under the crunch of current recession of Global economy, so they cannot pay such amount. However they are willing to pay Rs. 6,000,000p. However Doordarshan can show this channel even if KBS World is not paying for it. However, it would be unfair for Germany and Japan, as they already paid the amount of Rs.120,000,000p to Doordarshan early January, this year, and they will stay under Doordarshan Platform. So Doordarshan is forced to stop the transmission of KBS World in order to be fair among friends. As maintaining its own satellite, plus receiving signals from a foreign land by its satellite and transmitting them to our motherland cost a huge amount of money.

Good news is that if you can e-mail in the below-mentioned e-mail IDs requesting for resume of transmission of then Doordarshan might feel of pressure of popularity of KBS World and might lower the fees they charge from foreign stations, or take necessary steps to in order to view this channel. Send your e-mails in both the e-mail IDs.

[email protected] --> This e-mail should be addressed To, The Chief Executive Officer, Prasar Bharati, New Delhi -110001
[email protected] --> The e-mail should be addressed To, Mr. Y.K. Sharma, Prasar Bharati, New Delhi -110001

For more effective request, please send hand written mail to below-mentioned Postal Address regarding Requesting for Resume of transmission KBS World, on air, by Doordarshan. You can mention if you are also a customer Dish TV or Sun direct. As South Korean Govt. and Indian Govt. are friends to each other so they can help this issue and South Korea would want their cultured and Lifestyle to be projected by KBS World and India wants to transmit the KBS World channel of her friend proudly as well.
