Hey guys,
I have an Airtel connection in Whitefield Bangalore (fibre 16MBps) and for the past few days my ping has been very high to pretty much everywhere.
Here's what I mean:
Look at that rubbish. A ping to a Bangalore ACT IP goes through London and Marseille and ends up with 206ms.
Here are a few more servers compared to my ACT internet connection.
Airtel: speed1.jioconnect.com (106ms) Mumbai
ACT: (38ms)
Airtel: speedtestdel1.airtel.in (84ms) Delhi
ACT: (164ms) this one is bad
Airtel: sp1-blr.youbroadband.in (79ms) Bangalore
ACT: (4ms)
Airtel: speedtestblr1.rcom.co.in (81ms) Bangalore
ACT: (35ms)
Airtel: speedtestblr.actcorp.in (80ms) Bangalore
ACT: 1ms. Not surprising really.
So yeah, very high ping. Keep in mind that these are Speedtest.net servers so they represent the best case scenario. Actual servers are much higher at 120ms+ even within Bangalore. I have tried contacting them on Twitter but I have not received a response since yesterday. Can you guys help me test a few more servers please?
