Cost: As lowest as possible
Requirements : Should be able to play audio. With reasonable storage - directly or via memory card.
Assumptions : Easy to transfer MP3 files from PC via cable.

No smartphone/screensize or any other limit..

Anything costing lesser :D - This for serious basic need. Even mp3 player should do, not sure if phone is actually needed - but the person wants physical buttons like in phone to nagivate & wants to listen via speaker (even though it might be terrible :p )
