My primary number is on the Vi network. I had to port it from Vodafone to BSNL a few years ago and back to Vodafone 5 years ago as I moved to different cities and on a network quality basis. Right now I'm in my HomeTown due to work-from-home and Vi always had issues with respect to call quality and network speed. I used to ignore it as I'm using VoLTE for calls and I have got Jio Fiber at home for work so the Vi network issue never bothered me.
Recently I started getting messages from Vi stating that Vi GIGAnet is activated in my city (in city limits) and I should enjoy the High-Speed internet.
I tried to check this and found that it barely makes any difference. The speed ranges between 1mbps to 2mbps at night and during the daytime, it is worse. No improvement in call quality.
I confirmed this behavior in multiple areas of my city, it's almost the same everywhere except in a couple of them where I could get download speed up to 10mbps and upload speed up to 5-6mbps.
I'm using a Realme XT phone, and I tried the Vi on both Sim1 and Sim2 slots without any difference in the results.
