is the OS on zeus upgradable??
of course the OS on this phone is upgradeable.
but only videocon can provide you official authorized updates.

considering google android is sort of an open source platform... you can download the source code and compile it for your own device.
not as easy as it sounds though. because every phone is different in nature with different hardware specifications.
this is the reason, i suggest staying away from less popular devices (and brands) because it is unlikely to get much attention from the third party developer base.
samsung, htc and motorola devices see massive third party mods. and you might be able to get an unofficial upgrade to newer operating systems even if the company discards the device and no longer provide updates for it.

Nexus One will get the upgrade...And I guess the 2.3 Upgrade is available only to Nexus Phones..
And I guess Zeus and Spice Mi-300 are similar phones...The Official Site is still saying that an upgrade to 2.1 will be done is October...We are in December...and I guess the Phone has not been upgraded...Galaxy 3/Galaxy 5..and Optimus One are better buys then Zeus...

a friend of mine who owns HTC Wildfire already has installed 2.3 on his device. there are unofficial builds out already for existing devices. google nexus one would get the official build in a matter of weeks. other devices would get them as and when their manufacturers release them. remains to be seen how many devices are discarded this time around from getting the android 2.3 update.
