Videos on Chrome crashing on Intel UHD Graphics 730

Not icons. Apps. All apps resize to 1600*1200 resolution. If you search for primsurfsize, you would see that it is a pretty consistent problem over the years but mostly affect multi monitor setup 🤡

You said rearrange and I assumed you were talking about positions. I saw a post regarding headless setup. It seems the issue happens if the system can't read the monitor's properties. Weird issue but never had it.

I had an issue where external monitor (which has 2 HDMI inputs) would get stuck between on and off, can't access any controls with the button. Then I moved the connector a little bit and it came back to life. So it might be a connector issue which in case of internal display would be hard to access without opening.

yeah Dell monitors appear to be affected more than others. but of course all this shit started after the driver update windows delivered few days ago.

My current laptop is Dell and monitor (not ultrawide) too. lol. Although the monitor is connected to the Rocktek box. The monitor that is connected to the laptop is LG. But yeah, could just be a driver issue or there is some issue reading the monitor properties by the system.

i did see some old reports for another issues and there was a suggestion to switch this flag Choose ANGLE graphics backend to d3d9. i did that yesterday and haven't had a crash so far. but that could be because i am avoiding playing videos in chrome lol.

lol. chrome appears to have removed this option in latest update so the crashes have started again. what a freaking mess.

Chrome removed Angle D3D9 in latest update : chrome
