I am installing windows 8 in virtual box but setup says it's not a 64 bit pc.

Maybe your processor does not support Virtualization technology which is needed to install 64bit OS. Try 32bit version.

Sometime motherboard has virtualization disabled. You have to enable it first by going to BIOS.
