I've requested for the change of STBs and tried changing 2 STBs. On all 3 STB's, WiFi Ethernet bridge is showing as connected, but the VODs are not getting downloaded.
Is there any specific setting(s) missing/not configured in the router for WiFi Ethernet bridge to work with Tata Sky VODs?
At this point, I think you should talk briefly with Tata sky customer care supervisor. Not a regular help guy. Explain him your situation. As you have bought from the company, they are entitled to provide the support. Ask them to send an actual service engineer from the company to your place. I think he only will be able to figure out your problem. BTW are you a member of Tata Sky Premium Club?
Anyways from what I see is that after having gone through all previous possible solutions now there might be a thing with your ISP connection. I haven't mentioned previously but there might be some compatibility issues because of types of connection. They are too many. PPPoE, Bridged/DHCP or PPPoA etc etc. Most probably at your place, it should be PPPoE connection. That's Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet.
And there is always a bit of problem or confusion when you have to manage & set different different MAC addresses. For me it's always been a pain in the ass because I have three routers for different purposes. And these MAC identifiers which are assigned to network interfaces always comes in a way. You always have to change/assign them when you change the router. Anyways that's a different thing & certainly not applicable to your situation.
So coming to the point, you might have to ask Tata Sky service engineer regarding the Ethernet connection requirement for damn dongle. Or there might be whole different & unknown problem.
