Haven't yet managed to see 3G (test) signal on Vodafone network yet. I am in Mumbai. Few days back I had been to Vodafone gallery and the guy over there said 3G will be available by 3rd week of January' 2011. Fingers crossed. Waiting desperately for 3G to be launched soon.

Don't expect 3G to be lauched before March 2011 in the Kolkata circle atleast !

icycool25, Vodafone seems to be least aggressive for their 3G campaign too.I am sure they will be offering Solid Network and once it starts it would remain online, but that would need little extra time and the silence is killing the mood of huge subscriber base which is waiting since so long for private 3G players.Even vodafone store in my city doesn't have any specific launch date, however they've been selling 3G stick to customers for more than a year now :-(

You are right, for all Kolkata customer, Vodafone 3G sticks are [email protected] with a plan of Rs.499 UL [Applicable during 3G as well], but the question remains so as to when would the launch happen !

Hello everybody... for Vodafone, Mumbai wont be the first for getting 3G started... Vodafone is launching 3G in Gandhidham (Gujarat region) within this January end, and Idea is supposed to launch in Surat first....

Just spoke with Vodafone today. Per the officer who spoke, Vodafone is all set with the launch of 3G but is getting delayed due to some technical feasibility from BSNL for their Gateway. They say that the initial plan was to launch 3G on January 15 and now its not set to roll out until second week of february. I think now the launch will be only in March..

i've been seeing the 3g signal here for at least a couple of months now... not accessible though. if the plans are competitively priced without FUP i'm prolly gonna give airtel the boot at last.

^ Don't even expect that from Vodafone. They are worse when it comes to pricing of their internet packages

With such "AFFORDABLE" 3G plans there's no point in discussing about 3g in india...

Vodafone has acquired rights of broadcasting the Cricket World Cup 2011 over their 3G network, the funny thing is, we are a couple of days away from the start and there are no ways or means of getting the service, no tariffs on their website, only a place where you can register and nothing happens after that...

Vodafone to stream cricket World Cup matches
