Vodafone deducts ₹99 as an international roaming rental without consent, consumers complain

Happened to a relative. Was credited back in a few hours. Given the circumstances I would believe them that it was a technical issue.

Were people actually restricted from making calls during this period? The relative did not make calls - but got the alert and tried calling customer care and was asked to call back after 8 am as support hours are limited. Issue was resolved when he tried checking in the morning
