Vodafone - Free validity extension to lifetime

Hi All,

I was today greeted by a surprise SMS from Vodafone. It proclaimed this:

From:VX-Vodafone
Msg:

Hello! As a special vodafone customer, we have extended your validity to lifelong. You can now enjoy incoming calls free for life! Keep talking!


Wow! :dance: That's a nice gesture on part of them.:thumb: And I just wanted to spread the news and want to know if any of you have received something similar.

Initially I thought someone's fooling around with me but when I checked my balance through USSD, it actually shows up as till 25/09/2021 00:00:00 :yahoo:

Exactly, the same thing happened with my mothers Vodafone connection. The new validity is up till 25/09/2025. Though I didnt receieve any message.

were u both already under lifetime plan and they extended the validity?or they changed ur plan itself? because i think if they change plan then ur call rates change but u can not avail few bonus cards.

Even my dad got this extension, he didnt get any message and he wasnt under any lifetime plan. He was using a normal prepaid connection.

No, I wasn't in Lifetime validity plan. I was in the base plan. I had 3 years validity which was to expire next year. I had the Bonus card to have my call charges to Vodafone at 40p.That hasn't changed. And another Bonus card for SMS @ 10p. That remains as well. STD - I haven't checked.

I guess, my plan remains the same. Just the validity has been extended to 25/09/21.:thumbsup:
