I have a physical SIM in my old iPhone. I initiated the eSIM registration and I have received the QR code. Now do I need to activate it on my existing phone first or I can directly add it to my new iPhone?

Because I’m getting an error message when I am adding it to the new phone.

Wait, is eSIM only postpaid specific?

Seems to be available for both prepaid and postpaid.
