Site is ugly. It is being run on Microsoft Sharepoint (that is what the generator meta-tag says). Web standards have been given a go by. Doesn't reflect too well on the company

Sweets..this site was originally owned by Hutch and nothing has been changed on this site except the branding and the coding changed to Vodafone. Its similar to an inheritence. Customer Database migration (millions of customers) is not as easy as putting comments on a forum like this. Its a transition from an existing database management software to a the one used by Vodafone abroad or internationally. If Vodafone has to change this site entirely, it will be time consuming.

The international site is good though. But it only acts as a redirector.
So obviously it would be improvised by Vodafone, in due course of time.

Give it sometime guys. Remember the fact that Hutch has not been too excited about its Indian business, ever since Vodafone agreed to buy it. They got the cash and now Vodafone has to do good wherever they were not upto the mark. Both are international competitors. Hutch has increased its outsourcing to other call centres and that is the reason the customer service on calls is becoming pathetic. Tomorrow you will say that this doesn't reflect too well on the company. Vodafone now has to bear all the customer brunt simply because Hutch chose to or rather increased outsourcing to call centres such as Intelenet, Spanco etc. which handle domestic business outsourcing awfully.

Anyway guys, I am not starting an argument here. Just my pov.

LOL Onlyfun Web design change doesn't mean customer database migration.

^^^He will not give up on that point, he thinks that the website has the entire database and new website means Customer Database migration.

We have tried to make him understand that a website is just made up of webpages and coding, database has nothing to do with the website so there is no question of Customer Database migration except for "My Vodafone" site which shows customer information, for argument sake we can accept "My Vodafone" not functioning properly bec of so called Customer Database migration but nothing can justify the errors, poor images, unclickable links, word Hutch instead of Vodafone (simple copy-paste errors) and overall poor quality of Vodafone India - Home Page.

i'm hoping to get a call from vodafone and lure me to continue my hutch no., that i disabled this last monday, with some exciting offers...no luck yet :(

Ok Guys got a confirmation call from Vodafone today morning for the customer conference to be held tomm at Hotel Orchid Mumbai at 7.30pm, they will send pick up at 6.30pm.Please write down ur suggestions, I will try my best to put them forward and invite them to visit this forum regularly to get direct customer feedback and complaints!@Max: Sorry buddy they said they have limited seats and so they cannot allow anyone other than those who are called.......... :(

Tell them to fix the "network busy" issue in the evenings especially.
They might retort by saying Govt isn't giving permission for new towers and greater spectrum allocation, but I get really bugged when
[*] I call from My landline to my Vodafone next to it,and even though it shows full network I get the message"the phone is out of coverage area or switched off".Friends think I am trying to avoid talkin to them
[*] I cant make a call I the evenings coz,I get network busy
[*]Also please ask them to outsource to decent providers Not Spanco/Intellinet,coz after the CC was outsourced I noticed the drop in quality of my interactions with 111 or email support:madness:
[*]Restart the special offers they had in the Orange days.Hotel stay Coupons,Trips to Esselworld,Complimentary 1 month trial caller Tune cards,etc..............will go a long way in keeping customers happy and sticking with VF,& word of mouth publicity is cheaper that revenue spent on TV and Print:thumbsup:
[*]Just keep the MyVodafone Online most of the time, coz before Autodebit;it used to be down when ever I had to pay my bills online on the last day :p
[*]But in the end since they installed two more towers in my locality:yahoo:,my signal strength has improved (HUTCH did absolutely nothing for this between Feb2005 and Aug end 2007;not even after writing to appellate authority/Nodal Oficer))........
[*] Network Busy;Issue only happens randomly now,Not as frequent as say about a year ago....
[*] Not a lot of gripe about the CC,coz they all SEEM MORE professional that in the new HUTCH days........But they could open more counters at the Hutch shops coz there are always like a hundred people over there on any given day and I walked out twice after waiting for over 45 mins with my coupon:wall:
All In all after the Vodafone Buyout,I'm happy with the way things are presently;
and if they dont get better then I expect them to stay the same at least

^^^I totally agree to the 3rd and 4th point!!!!!!!!!!!1st and 2nd point is an individual issue I reckon, since in my area, both Residence and Office, I have never ever faced network issues which u mentioned like phone is not reachable or switched off even though it shows full network................You should write to Nodal officer informing about the network issue in ur particular area. Overall I can request them to improve and strengthen their network......................

well like I said in the post above
they installed new towers and the network situation has improved from the days of doom,
and I guess its normal on all networks(RANDOM) here and there
so no complaints in that front

good points mentioned.try asking them for cheaper call/sms rates!! :P

yes we are aleady the cheapest telecom market in the world.lets ask for cheaper rates so we can make them bankrupt...........LOL :P
