Nokia made it pretty simple actually. I went to their website easily found the form. checked my 2 batteries. one was to be replaced. i entered my address. and i got the battery within a month home delivered. the guys who attacked the nokia dealerships just needed some patience. i guess we lack that. :)

i think those battery can go KABOOM even if phone is switched off, isnt it?
yeah i thought they went KABOOM while charging right?

he and even i am wondering if those bl-5c batteries can blast only when charging or anytime.

[offtopic]i haven't recieved my new battery from Nokia yet...i registered on their website when this thing came into light...[/offtopic]

they don't rally blast/explode... its usually that the battery swells and the back cover of the cellphone gets knocked out... and yeah the chemicals ooze out of the battery .. screwing up ur cellphone or giving bad skin rashes if u happen to touch it

but the media had hyped up the issue even though the probability of even the faulty batteries opening up is not that high....
