As I logged into my MyVodafone account yesterday, I saw that Vodafone has automatically changed call rates in my tariff plan from 30p/min to 50 p/min (more than 50% increase) without any notification or my consent from 27 Feb 2013 (They have changed all postpaid plans by increasing local call rates to 50p/min for all plans). After I called the customer care, they didn't had any answer and informed me that Vodafone sent a message to me on 7th Nov last year, and refused to register a complaint for same. My question is: 1. Can Vodafone change the plan without my consent, as I understand, plan is an agreemnet between company and customer, and it can't be changed by company? I have already sent a mail to Delhi Nodal officer, but no response yet.

Please followup on this & give us an update

So as all the other operators. With free roaming likely from Oct. Operators have choosen this way to getback the 10-15% revenue loss of free roaming.

Vodafone has done it twice for my postpaid connection.
Few months back, they changed call rate from 30 paise to 50 paise and moved me from Rs 300 to Rs 325 per month plan.
Following this mess, I downgraded from Rs 300 per month plan to Rs 150 per month plan.
In the bill that came in last week, they have again raised call rates and moved me from Rs 150 per month plan to Rs 175 per month plan.
Of course, on both occasions they changed my billing plans without informing me. To me it looks like a clear case of fraud by a big company.

Does the user agreement say that rates may be revised any time at company 's decision? If yes then they only need to inform you and not ask you. In most cases they do neither :p

There is difference between revising rates and shifting your plans. Right?
