I wouldn't be surprised if entire company becomes bankrupt. German economy will take a huge hit if that happens.

Volkswagen scam. Company earlier said everything is fine & there is no emission Scandal in India. Now news reports say that as many as 1 Lakh VW Cars will be recalled in India. Including 20,000 domestic makes.

You see, there is no scandal until company gets caught. When they get caught, only then they admit their guilt.
Looking at the trend, i have personally no doubt that much of the VW cars in India are rigged. Our obsolete & outdated emission test system could never detect cheat devices in VW cars. I don't expect much from our Babus & politicians who will get another opportunity to get Bribes.
Now where is NGT? Sleeping? Thousands of VW cars (Polo, Vento, Audi, Skoda etc etc) are ejecting 50 times the pollutant norms into the environment. Why don't NGT impose penalties on VW?
