VOLTE issue - problem of Jio OR Gionee?!

Just noticed this existing thread reporting same issue
VoLTE automatically disappearing from top status bar on LYF Smartphone


Also from yesterday even when VOLTE is showing on screen and if I dial it says "Server unreachable" and call does not connect.

Network it shows 3-4 bars.

And that moment calling the number from another JIO number gives - "mobile not reachable"!

The other JIO number is also in same network / same place / just 2feet away from phone where issue occurs!

Just Disable VoLTE and enable again it will resolve the issue..

I do that but doing it 4-5 times a day and that too sometimes when calling someone is urgent gets annoying

Sometimes it even needs 2-3 tries or airplane mode toggling.

And Murphy's law start applying immediately!!

Right when you want VOLTE to not to go - it will go!!

^ Its definitely a pain in the ass. Im hoping this will get sorted on Jan or I'll just throw my sim away .

About "hanging up" issue -

I still can not figure out why it happens only when I call one specific MTNL landline number.

Calling my home landline number does not cause "hanging up" issue.

But that specific number is called like 40-50 times a day!!


Another problem that has been surfacing these days is calling some numbers it keep saying "server unreachable"

But calling a different number works (without flight mode toggle or without phone restart)

Jio is so bad right now, its not even usable for second sim slot for calling. 4G is awesome though

No one else is getting "server unreachable"?

I dont see anything when I search google for "server unreachable JIO"

So I kind of feel that its only me who is getting this error??

Plus noone in Flipkart or Amazon review is mentioning the "server unreachable / VOLTE" issue either for Gionee F103 pro

So I have no idea if its Gionee problem or JIO problem.

I have to buy a new phone - planning to get exact same 2nd phone

So wanted to make sure its not Gionee problem but JIO problem only.

I resolved the issue with a workaround

I installed jio4gvoice app

And now make outgoing calls via it instead of volte

Call no more hangs to that particular number
