VoLTE on Vodafone India
What happened to their so called Volte launch in Mumbai ? They launched it only in Gujarat, and are mum now. They will supposed to launch it in early january.
Vodafone's call quality has is becoming bad day by day. I am facing frequent call drops and even in full coverage areas, others cannot listen. Hope the volte changes that situation for good.

Its weird though that Vodafone VoLTE doesnt work on all VoLTE phones but only selected models (not even iPhone currently)
I wonder if VoLTE is not a standard

Even airtel doesn't support VoLTE on all the phone. airtel.in/volte
Only Jio supports each and every VoLTE phone out there.

It's kinda useless for dual SIM devices if your other SIM is Jio. If you set VoLTE on Vodafone or Airtel, either Jio will loose VoLTE or even the network itself.
Yep... phones with dual VoLTE SIM support are not far now.
But I still wonder if JIO can work on all VoLTE phone - why not other operators?
Is it dependent on some kind of public key encryption? only in that case such an issue will arise.
Because then operators first need to release an update which recognizes operators public key (something similar to what browsers do)

Jio also needs software update for VoLTE to work.
jio has the most volte customers and has an existing nationwide network. makes sense for operators to have their stuff preloaded on firmware on all new models.
airtel and vodafone are still rolling out. eventually all new models should support all three networks out of the box i guess.
