Wake on LAN over ethernet for AirFiber?

I've tried enabling all the required options both on windows and linux, the ethernet cable does flash a light at the router end when the laptop is asleep. Yet any kind of magic packet sent from my phone connected on local network, doesnt wake up the laptop. Has anyone successfully set it up?

Also out of topic, but can anyone help me with the SPED JIDU6601 rooting process... I've been scratching my head since they removed backup config option in web UI, also to downgrade firmware it requires .bin file while i only have .img firmware file

even though u have configured the OSes have you checked laptop BIOS settings for WoL options and enabled there too?

@vishalrao im using Acer aspire lite with insydeH2O bios, there isnt any option. its a pretty basic bios tbh cos there arent many advanced options

Ok Acer is known for anti consumer behavior like making it hard to run linux ... is linux works well on your laptop? Which distro and version?
