Wasn't 2007 'the year of broadband' in india?

what has happened in the last 18 months here? rates have stagnated. Only some faster but (extremely expensive to many) packages have come.Hathway has increased the rates, and in fact the free night time is changed from 11pm-9am to 12-7am. Are we travelling in the reverse direction?

U r right 2007 was the yr of broadband but nothing much happened except increasing of the speeds to 2mbps. it was just another lame yr for the pathetic internet in india
