I am looking for a new RO for my home. Tds level is about 700-800.
I am confused between active copper and alkaline. I was inclined towards eureka forbes.

I am not the best person here coz I have not researched much on this topic but I am pretty happy with AO Smith. I got their z8 model that has a water heater as well and it comes very useful in winters. I am not sure how much other water purifiers cost on a yearly basis. AO Smith costs me 5500 per year for unlimited filter replacements. I can of course go for non AMC based replacements but it almost always cost more even with two cycles of replacements plus visitation charges.

they seem to have a cheaper variant named z1 which has fewer filters.

should also add that these models use plastic containers for hot water which is well not exactly healthy. purifiers with stainless steel containers for hot water tend to go pretty pricey. iirc LG has models that cost 40+ with water heater.

Hmm. Acquguard has a model with stainless steel containers for pretty decent price.

Aquaguard Blaze Water Purifier

Anyhow, I think I went very offtopic in this post so ignore.

I actually made an inquiry last year and the RO guy made a visit to check the TDS levels here to suggest a solution.

To my surprise he didn't show me the levels at all, he was hesitant. We get water from Sonia Vihar Plant, so I think the water is of good quality.

I am planning to get urban company RO. They have copper and alkaline in one. And AMC is cheaper.

I had no idea Urban company has started selling appliances. Probably some locally assembled model. It might be cheaper but it won't be of good quality. Better to stick with a known brand.
