Webpage not opening but ftp services are working fine

Hi.......... using ZTE ZXDSL 531 (TYPE-2) modem with BSNL broadband connection in bridge mode.For last 15 days not able to open webpage (explorer gives a blank page),whereas FTP services are working fine.Tried using Open and google DNS but result is same.OS is Win XP SP3............pls help

Check MTU box ( usually in WAN page ) set to 1492 or lower say 1480.

ALL settings / screen shots etc.

If the problem was sudden, try a System Restore Date two weeks earlier.

Update: 1000AM
Check Access control menu page. ( see Under Management)
ensure all boxes selected.

if FTP service are working fine (with large file upload/download) then its not MTU problem.do u use IP address with ftp server or name? if ip address then its a DNS problem.otherwise most likely port 53/80 is blocked in ur firewall. try disabling firewall completely.also check with other browser like firefox or chrome. make sure they are not using any proxy.
