was watching home show 18 just now and there selling this wespro 8 mega pixel ds8060 digital camera for 4000 bucks...
3 years back i bought a 3mp aiptek cam for 500 bucks and was very impressed with it's quality. i also own a Sony 6MP cam and can you believe the aiptek cam came out better that the sony one. i judge the video of aiptek similar to that of a vcd meets dvd. somewhere in the middle.

i'd definitely recommend this wespro for those looking for a cheap solution. btw theres no optical zoom and videos shot at night suck.
