2 months back i ported from Uninor to Vodafone & Aircel to Airtel. Both Vodafone & Airtel charged Rs.5 only and that too i got back as it is credited to the account.

I called the Customer Service and they told me that charges are 0. So, I got cheated by the shop in Whitefield, Bangalore :( There is no receipt also. Just believed the shop keeper and paid Rs. 80... I should have done my homework well. Will wait for the porting to go through and then I"ll talk to him.

Today I submitted application for porting from BSNL to Idea in a local shop. He charged me Rs.80 for the SIM. I think that is ridiculously high for number porting. Please let me know, if anyone porting to Idea has paid so much. If not, how much did you pay recently.

When I asked him, he told was earlier it was Rs.30 and now due to some rule changes it has been increased.

After getting rejected first time, and multiple follow up with dealer second application got accepted and I am in Idea network now. Pretty happy with the network in my area now.

Idea is pretty decent when it comes to services and coverage..my experience of 7-8 years...!!

Idea has to be number one network in Maharashtra/Goa circle.finally i have given up all my hopes from loop mobile and applied for porting to Idea.Initially i was considering Docomo and went to this big gallery near my house where i heard excuses and went to Idea gallery who were more than happy to help me.
