BitComet only uses more RAM when u enable disk caching which prevents continuous disk read/write activity. It uses up some of ur RAM to store the data and only flushes it to the HDD after u've downloaded say 5 mb of data (you can set this to whatever u want but too large a cache can cause u to lose data, like in case of a power failure). It is advisable that u enable this option to increase ur disk life and prevent a crash (after all it has moving parts which are bound to fail sometime).

Hi Can you tell me how to configure the ports for MTNL router ? I am using a Macintosh computer.I am trying to use Azureus for Torrents and aMule for the Donkey Networks. In Azureus when I use the ports 6881 to 6889 , I get a NAT error. I cannot rectify this error sinceI cannot run the D-Link software in my computer. Are there any configuration changes to make in the Azureus software ? Thanks Rishi

I have installed bit tornado but am still getting speed varying between 1to5 kbps, quite slow. Do i have to do some modification regarding the router {port forwarding]. Give me some clues on how to do it.

Hi Neil,

If you are using MTNL's DSL 502T router, this link outlines the step-by-step procedure on how to forward ports for Bit Tornado :
