just go to www.grc.com and chek if ur ports are open (no firewall shld be running on the computer)..If they are open no need for forwarding.

Tests failed bigtime! (I think.) Even with the firewall on 'Allow all'- it showed me two big FAILED chaapas!
I'm on a 256kbps and at night the speeds do go around 22 KB/s so I guess I'm OK.
Like I said I have a cable modem next to me and not a router so is there a way I can still forward ports (without talking to my ISP guys of course, which seems like an impossibility) ?
