Im sure that this is an issue that has been touched upon many times in the past, but I still need to talk about it. Tata Sky is one the best DTH providers out there, boasting of 5 million + users. So that shows that they are a popular and marketable product. The reason why i bring this up is because I am trying to find a logical reason for them not adding Ten Action+ to their list of channels. Are they afraid that they will not meet their required subscription for this channel.? Have they completely run out of space that they cannot accommodate even 1 more channel ( which is not even HD ). If so, why cant they just remove one of these Aasta type channels to make room for A sports channel. Or even better, remove ten cricket for the time being and show ten action+ till the end of may so that we can watch the champions league, and other european league football. There is no cricket on Ten Cricket till June. They are just wasting time and are showing nothing on ten cricket. Football is swiftly gaining popularity in India, and Im sure there are thousands of football fans like me who are being denied coverage of the UCL, all because tata sky is too stubborn to add one more channel. The standard answer like " dont worry sir, our back end team is working on it and it will be launched soon " is not enough anymore. :madness: I know of people who are/have changed to other DTH providers, only because of this one channel. I had to watch the Chelsea v Man Utd game on the computer last night for God sake. Well Tata Sky, if you are listening or reading, we don't need a topper channel ( we have something called school for that ) neither do we need so many Bhajan channels ( which are all telling us the same thing, but in different languages ). We live for sports, and that what you need to give us.

Different scenario in my situation:1) What harm will come if they avoid FUP? - Airtel2) What harm will come if they recruit & train good CC & technician peoples? - Reliance3) What harm will come if they provide a no downtime broadband? - BSNLHere too peoples are moving from ISP to ISP if they feel that the other one is better than this.Questions arise everywhere. Answers are only know to them.

D2h has in fact removed Ten Cricket from all packages - yes, its not there even in Platinum HD. U have to buy it separately. And Ten Sports & Ten Action are available at some good cost as well.....
All the 3 channels are pathetic - PQ is cheap to say the least. Better stay away from such channels. When i was getting these channels, i had actually DELETED them.

I agree with you that all channels are CRAP ...but the point is they have the rights to Champions League !!!

It all comes down to Quality vs Quantity.In terms of Picture Quality, Star beats Zee any day. Zee has loads of channels, but quality is sub standard. Whereas Star has lesser channels, but quality is excellent. Same can be said with Tata Sky vs Dish Tv. Tata Sky has lesser channels, but their quality is fantastic. whereas Dishtv, well their stb is pathetic, user interface is pathetic and channel quality is even more pathetic. i actually bought Dishtv earlier in December,( so that i could watch the UCl ) but I got so fed up with them & their services, that i disconnected it in Jan itself. ( waste of money, well ppl learn from their mistakes ) .
I will repeat myself again.Choosing a DTH provider ultimately boils down to how much u can live with a particular problem......all DTH have their own issues - its upto u to decide, which one u can live with.And based on the general trend in tolerating different negatives, these are the ratings:1) TS & D2h neck to neck....2) Reliance & Airtel neck to neck.Dont know much about Sun Direct - but 1 thing i know is, people say that its best for South channel watchers.
