i use my 3.5G HSPDA phone as bluetooth DUN modem with bsnl 3G, the speed i get is about 256kbps . i want to know weather connecting the phone via data cable wil prove any benefeciary . and also what efect on is there for long term internet uses while connecting thru bluetooth and data cable

Bluetooth version 1.2 gives speed of 1mbps, version 2 gives abt 3mbps.These are theoretical limits. So practically u shud get 600-700+ or so. Unless ur 3G is giving u less speed.Data cable wud be faster and shud use lesser battery. So longterm effect of using bluetooth wud be on battery.

So you dont need bluetooth on Laptop/PC if u use Joiku? Will it actually work over WiFi card? If so then it wud be strange.

today i buyed the data cable . one thing i notced that if you connect to internet via data cable thru PC suite then it will create a network connection of 115 kbps , but certain phones like my Sony naite j105i have the advantage of connecting automatically from the phone itself when it is connected to the data cable which gives a network speed of 10mbps which is good for utilising the full potential of 3G HSPDA 3.1mbps. however BSNL 3G HSPDA is yet to touch that mark , the speed is still around 256 kbps although the rendering of pages speed has increased

Guys, I get 900 to 1500 kbps speed on my LG arena , i m using data cable, in bluetooth it is not possible to get full speed
