SMC 7901BRA5 ADSL2+ Triband ADSL Modem Router is very good, connects quickly and stays stable even with line noise. It has all the features you could want, and no gimmicks.

You can also buy it from ebay (choose a reputed seller only) or online for a bit cheaper than it is available at most shops.

Yes, it is. No wifi though.
