The MTNL 590 NU has a drawback of switch on (the Router) at 00 hours and switch off at 08 hours. There may be a reduction in speed if the telephone lines are not clear. In rains it is more likely for downtime and dependance on the local telephone mechanic then the call center. MTNL NU may be right for those people who have extremely heavy use....torrents or file shares of gbs of download at less price. People who have moderate downloads like 200 MB or less can go for 128 kbps of sify for 1 month. MTNL has many configurations unlike sify.

Rule Number 1 : Don't EVER suggest 'anyone'/even your worst enemy to go for Sify. Never, never, never.

well with MTNL, for the last 35 days, i had a downtime of around a cpl of hrs...that too when i didn't need it ;)so it's up to u to decide whichone is better, Sify or MTNL... :)oh yeah!!! pls don't ask me for how long Sify was down on me in the last 9 months...i'd be really embarrassed to answer that
