P2P has nothing to do with CGNat. It's just that no one will be able to connect to you but you can connect instead. Ie. If you see flags under peers, under CGNat you won't see the letter 'I'.
Yes, I used P2P with CGNAT earlier...(TPBB) before but I had to use VPN just so I could seed torrents. Of course with an Airtel public v4 it's all a moot point now. That said I am still on VPN. PIA offers opening of ports so leechers can establish direct connections. Just need to set the correct port # in the P2P client
