When exactly plan changes occur?

I requested for change in plan from 500 to 500C on December 20th and it was changed promptly from January 1. I again asked for a change in plan from 500C to 750 UL on January 20th(and was told that it will change from Feb1) and when i checked now(Feb 1), neither the speed(has to decrease) or the entry in billing site(still showing as 500C) has changed. Can i use my net considering it as UL or better to wait and watch? And exactly when these plan changes occurs?

hi, from January 2009 they have changed the way the plan changes can be effected. Any request for BB plan change given at any point of time will be effected only on the 1st of next month. Since u r in chennai u can also refer today's hindu news paper(last page), they have given an ad regarding discounts. in tat a small column has been printed stating the above information.

plan changes occur normally from 1 st of next month if u gave application in January then it will effecting from next month i.e from february.

whats the difference in "open" & "provisioned" in status of plan change.

By the tern open means that ur connection registaration is done at NOC but it is not activated and by the term provisioned means that ur connection is activated and u can use it.
