The way they are giving out free sims, it appears that they are trying to move the 3G crowd to 4G ............... but why?
Jio has no 3G capability

comments below the link says that the news is actually not true. there is a working trick available to generate the invite code though, in case

you are able to convince your friendly neighbourhood reliance digital into giving you the sim without lyf/samsung/LG phone.

Not true. I just called up a Reliance Digital Store and he said that I can take the SIM for any phone.
