So, I am constructing a new house and has to decide on placement of outdoor unit of split ACs. Construction has 3 floors and each floor has 3 ACs. House is covered from all 3 sides. Only the 30ft wide front is open. Following suggestions have been given by different persons involved -
Civil Engineer- He suggested to run copper pipe through vent in the middle corner of the house for 1st and 2nd AC. 3rd ACs' pipe should go through rear yard. He suggested to place outdoor unit at the very top of the structure. This is the most expensive option.
Interior Designer- He suggested to place 1st AC's outdoor in the front wall of the house and to place 2nd and 3rd AC's outdoor in the rear yard which is 5ft wide and 12ft long. Same would be done for all 3 floors. Hot air will flow out of rear yard's iron net on the top. This would be least expensive option.
AC installer- He suggested to place all outdoor units at the top of the structure. But he is suggesting not to run pipe through the vent but to cut a hole through beams and walls. This is not as expensive as first option but it would lead to holes to be cut in the beams and slab.
