I have one with DBS. The average balance requirement is 50k but I get cash back on fuel (7.5% I think), 35% off on bookmyshow and the interest rate is also decent. Also, the debit card works everywhere outside India. The interest rate is also decent i think. Plus their customer base is so low that you dial the CC and get connected instantly if you need something.

I dont use walnut/moneyview to pay my bills. I only use them to manage my money across all accounts be it banks or credit cards. Keeping track of expenses is easy-peasy with these apps.

Me and Amex do not approve of each other. It is suited for businessmen or travelers not someone like me [emoji48]

Thanks for all the replies, looks like this thread's been turned to something more awesome :)
Anyway I've been in touch with the branch head + nodal and I'm hoping they will resolve this. Will post an update here if they do anything.

The list for me is trimmed to Kotak vs DBS so far :p

For those recommending HDFC, you do realize that you have to maintain an Average Monthly Balance of 10000(I have an account with them) for a regular savings account, else its chargable 600 Per Month. I would recommend SBI or some other bank having zero balance regular savings accounts if you're a student and branch is close to your home

You can only access the last 12 months of statement online. I would stay away.

im getting unlimited free ATM transaction and zero balance criteria :) , every month , im paying for atleast 5+ ATM transaction
