A friend broke his phone lately it was a Nokia. He need some suggestions for his new phone.Budget is 10K, could be stretched to 14K if the device worth the price.Priorities are:1. Email2. Music3. Camera 4. A decent screen (Open to both Touchscreen & QWERTY)Regarding OS, open to both Symbian^ & Android (Any reputed brand)

android 4.x or ice cream sandwich edition.

In that case i need to go to HTC only, because i buy this phone for doing Android Development... Not for normal use...

----------

HTC hardware is top notch. So yes, go for an HTC.

And as for software testing, I am sure all software have bugs, so it's not Sony's software are buggy in nature.

It's just that testers end up seeing a lot more issues than real people.

----------

personally i would go for xperia ray over one v. that is my preference in this price bracket.

Ok thanks for ur update, may be this week i will but Android phone, I will update soon...

For development, the Nexus phones are your best option.

nexus s or nexus one would be hard to find in the market these days. Galaxy nexus is not officially launched in india. it is apparently on sale for around Rs. 25K in the Mumbai grey market. not sure about delhi or chennai :)

we suggested phones based on your budget. otherwise you might want to consider motorola atrix 2. i have a nexus s running 1GHz. it is pretty smooth running ice cream sandwich.

Yeah, if you can stretch budget then people have said even Galaxy Nexus is available at 24.5. But I doubt if it will be available in Chennai (Maybe Ritchie Street). And again bill & warranty would be a question.
