xbox n u r hardcore coz u own ps3? this is wat ur point? wow
for me noobs r those who play a game finishes the story n move on to other game..n don bother online gaming..which is wat happens in PSN.. thats y multiplatform games don sell more on ps3 n hardcore r the ones who r competitive n plays online which is wat happening in LIVE.. this is my definition of noobs n hardcore..wat urs? don tell me ps3 is expensive so its for hardcore:hysterical:

I was only replying to solid_snake4rd post below & for reasons highlighted. I DIDN'T SAY A HARDCORE GAMER WILL NEVER BUY XBOX. But only specified most hardcore gamers prefer PS3. Again i never meant to hurt anyone's opinions.
you talking about hardcore gamer,you can be a hardcore gamer and own 360.hardcore gamer would not even look at the features but what game franchises does the platform have.
this isn't PC gaming where people blindly follow the bigger specs thing.like i would buy a Wii if it had exclusive GRAN TURISMO,METAL GEAR SOLID and FINAL FANTASY.
Now no offense to anyone around here but most hard core gamers are using PS3 though - i assure you of that pal. If you look at the actual sales of Xbox or mostly the kind of people who buy xbox, usually gifted them to kids etc more than PS3. Especially in North American regions and so is Wii. Sometime ago i had a friend who had done some analysis while working for a MNC which up sells products to callers and found that people order such gaming consoles etc are usually more interested in Xbox than PS3 for kids - could be because of price factor etc. Now this explanation if someone thinks Xbox is better because of the sales figure. Again i'm not saying Hardcore gamers will not buy Xbox but more on fact that novice/kids usually prefer Xbox instead of PS3 - hence Xbox sales are better. And like some gamers prefer a lower configuration instead of the best available because of the Price.
madhusudhan7 WAS WRONG IN saying PS3 is the only consoles for hardcore but you went beyond just correcting it.......

But again specs talk more than anything else according to me. When i was looking for a gaming console it was all about the value for money - PS3 for me meant "The best Gaming console", Blu-Ray player with HDMI/Wifi - hence enabling me to to stream movies from PC's + back then installing Linux etc also excited me. I got the PS3 back in 2006/07 when it's retail price was round 40-42k but it still meant VALUE FOR MONEY only for the add-on features i would get with it. Another gaming console meant 25k for the console, about 6-8 K for wireless setup + about 20+K for BluRay player - now the price of PS3 has dropped to 18k & other consoles have also changed a lot, but even now i still consider PS3 to be the best console - Now this is only my opinion and findings & if someone else has a different perspective then it's their right to be.
