Which Modem

hi i just got a new connection from MTNL (around 4-5 days ago)m on 1mbps UL plan, and the lineman installed the 2nd hand modem i think (thy said if i w8 for new one, it will take weeks)so my question iswhich modem should i buy ? i want to replace this freaky modem (which i'm hating more everyday)PS : i just bought Netgear n150, but after reaching home i figured out tht i have to connect MTNL modem to n150 to keep it working, thr was no dsl port plz keep in mind, i want to 'replace' MTNL modem with something gud and wid WiFi option (like my airtel's beetel 450bxi)

What is wrong with the unit installed by MTNL except for calling it 'freaky' its not clear about the problem. If you wanted a DSL modem cum WiFi router you should have specified that when you bought this piece. Check if you can exchange for what you want (highly doubtful, but no harm in asking) See this N150 Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router

It would have been better to check before making the purchase.

If your freaky modem is doing the job it's supposed to do, then just neglect it. Maybe you might wanna hide it somewhere to keep it out of your sight!

Anyway, now that you have bought a Netgear N150, why do you want another WiFi + ADSL router? Just buy an ADSL router like D-Link 1-Port Ethernet & USB ADSL2+ Router.

if possible change the purchased modem, talk to the seller, and if you want to buy then go for what socrates has suggested

replaced it for N150 Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Routercan anyone tell me the settings ?i have a very gud experience wid govt. companies so plz dont tell me to ask thm for a new modem, anyway i have bought it
