Hello there,
A new member here. For the past couple months my local ISP has been bugging me about getting a fiber connection (upgrade from copper). While I was somewhat wary of the fact that even with copper I wasn't getting that bad of a connection or speed. I don't game and usually is for home media and entertainment. Movies/shows. On a 100 mbps connection I would easily get around 80-90 mbps both on wifi and lan. I rely more on real time data transfers from cloud for speed tests more, and google/onedrive/Dropbox being the most reliable ones. I would easily get around 10-11 MBps while downloading from those. It was ideal for me and I didn't have a need for fiber at all really, considering I was under the impression that there won't be much of a boost regardless. Until ISP decided to turn off all the copper nodes and lo and behold I was forced. Local ISP also switched to ANI (Network or Broadband, not sure). Currently I have a temporary measure, the ISP got me a Syrotech ONU connected to my old router. Since my old router is also 2.4ghz (single band), I am looking to buy a new router. Which is what this thread is about.

Up until now I wasn't able to find any other company aside from Syrotech, Netlink and etc etc but only all these local companies who made these GPON/XPON devices. Whereas I was looking for TP-Link/D-Link or any other branded company, and yesterday I happened to come across Nokia ones. Now obtaining one will be a little bit hard and I'm going through Indiamart, see if someone can provide me one. If it costs about the same more or less. (ISP is providing Dual Band Syrotech ONT. SY-GPON-2010-WADONT). Now it's all well and good for my requirements but I had a couple 500/1TB 3"/2" hdds lying around and for a long time have been thinking of creating a NAS server for myself. But usual requirements for that I've found required me to have Raspberry Pi or similar device and I wasn't looking to invest in one. But seeing that since some ONT devices had USB ports and could give FTP access to them I was like, why not use these instead. Since I'm only looking to go for the brand Nokia at this point, my question is:
Which Nokia ONT should I opt for?: Now I have found the thread for the G-2425G-A and unlocking it for all other ISPs. I have also found other ONTs such as G-140 W-F and G-240 W-F (and various other models). So far I'm only going through Indiamart and only found G-2425G-A and G-140 W-F models and nothing else. Could anyone list some differences between them, which one is better. Since both G-140 and G-240 had 2 USB ports I was looking for them but not really sure if the unlock methods would work for them or not. Will they support 500GB/1TB HDDs or not (if I used a HDD caddy for it)

Other questions:
Can any of the other Nokia Routers be unlocked like the G-2425G-A?
Which of those support Bridge Mode in case I ever want to use OpenWRT on my router (not the ONT but if I got a separate router)
Also, any ideas where I could buy one from? I'm from Daryaganj area in Delhi.

Well atm I've found a second hand reseller offering me the G2425GA for 1100/- I think he also has the G140WF model too but never asked the price for that.
