Which router can i tether from lyf flame 6 through USB

I'm using rooter firmware since past two years and its damn good especially the latest version "goldenorb".

set channel width to 40mhz in rooter firmware to see if it helps with wifi speed and as x720 above said a high quality USB cable is a must for good speed.
 
I checked wifi speed of jio using hotspot on phone , TP-Link 3020 and my old adsl modem + router tplink 8961n. Speed on all was less than wired connection. It was like tplink 8961n> phone> tplink 3020.
This time i checked actual downloading speed, and not by using speed test apps.
It may be normal to get low speed compare to wired or can a good router make any difference?
 
All TP-Link's 150 Mbps routers including MR3020 are quite bad in delivering wireless speed. @suraj2786 you can try connecting 3020 to another 300Mbps or better speed router via CAT5/6 and enjoy better speed.

I used to plug BSNL EVDO card to MR3020 & it was connected to main switch via CAT5 cable to share internet. Advantage is that due to small size, I had placed it to the highest place in my house to get maximum signal. Doing the same with Jio to get good signal in Band 40 without changing my existing WiFi setup.

i have one more problem if anybody can help
i am tethering from lyf to pc by using USB, i want to share internet using ethernet port over to router. normal sharing is not working as an error related to IP address occurs while sharing lan port. if someone have a solution then please help.
 
@suraj2786 Can you tell me little more about your setup so I can assist you further, need to know followings:

01. MR3020 connected successfully to LYF phone and able to use internet over 3020's WiFi, correct?
02. Wired between MR3020 & your other WiFi router but unable to get internet on your 2nd router?
03. Do you have any other ADSL Modem or any other ISP's connection to your other router?

Simply describe how you want your setup, I'll give you instructions step by step.
 
My lyf phone is connected to TP-Link 3020 and working.
Tplink is connected to wireless modem and working too.
This setup is working great.
I want another setup. Its like this
1. Phone is connected to laptop through USB and working great.
2. Want to connect wireless modem to laptop using ethernet to access internet. This part is not working.
Is there any way out for this setup.
 
Try following:

01. Turn off the DHCP on your Wireless Modem, DHCP should be 'enabled' in MR3020 for it's LAN interface. MR3020 should have a static IP (e.g., 192.168.1.254)
02. Connect ethernet from MR3020 to LAN Port of Wireless Router (most likely you have 3 or 4 LAN ports and 1 WAN or ADSL port)
03. Connect Laptop ethernet to another LAN Port of Wireless Router

Make sure all your devices have same IP range if configured manually otherwise set it Auto-configuration. As you only have one DHCP server working (on MR3020), any device tries to connect your network, IP will be assigned by MR3020 only and you will have internet on every device wireless or wired.

But I think a was not able to clear the setup i want. So again i m trying.
1. I directly connected my lyf mobile to laptop with help of USB and i can access internet in my laptop.
2. After this i want my laptop to supply internet to a wireless modem(adsl) by ethernet port.

I am not able to complete this second part. While sharing some ip error occurs.

In this setup i am not using TP-Link mr3020.

Its like
Mobile tethering >>laptop>>adsl router.
 
I somehow feel annoyed at this topic for reasons unknown. Actually tethering your phone to a router is ALWAYS A BAD IDEA.

I have tried this with three different routers from entry level D-Links, TP-Link MR3020 and even with my Asus RT-AC68U. I used Flame 1, Water 1 and Le Max 2. Whichever combination of routers and mobiles was used, the internet just randomly disconnects, drops out with no way to find out whether phone was at fault or router was at fault or JIO network was at fault. No router has a stable Android tethering firmware and will crap on you at any time.

Best is to use your phone as a Portable hotspot or as USB RNDIS6 tether device and forget about it.

So just stop doing this as it is never going to reliably work EVER!! If you insist on going through hell of unexpected disconnections, make sure to hire a donkey and teach it how to constantly keep rebooting both the devices when internet stops working.
