Disable all WAN side service (which is so in ur case)Disable FTP/Telnet/TFTP on LAN side too. (not required for access by airtel but its advisable to disable)

This should do the trick (not absolutely sure, but this was the only option that represented remote access)

I do not know why they are resorting to such measures. And I will not recommend disabling the CWMP because Airtel releases periodic updates of the router's firmware.

All were disabled on WAN side before the password was changed by Airtel

Disabling TR-069 access may also work but as mentioned by cool_techie_tvm you may not get the firmware updates.

I recently shifted to a new place so after the installation I wanted to check SNR in front of the Airtel service engineer but I could not login with the default password. Not only that, the Airtel guy also asked me if I had changed the password and forgotten it :loser:I'll try with account number and see if that works.

Is there a way to change the password without their (airtel) help? I moved into a new place and my password I guess is a default easy to guess password. Any help appreciated

Yes should work default 1. admin password 2. support password or support 3. user user

Tested in Beetel110BXI now. user user works but not support.

The Hardware board is same for Beetel220Bx ( UTSTARWA3002_g4 + wifi including D-Link dsl2520U !)

To get the firmware version type 192.168.1.1/look.html fonts will be Chinese.
( I got this in this forum from another member years back when I was a beginner in Broadband !)
not listed anywhere else to the best of my knowledge )

2.
Beetel 450TCI /Binatone models ( UTSTARWA3002_g1 and more than 15 modem/routers !)menu
some additional facilities like IPTV multiple ssid's.

In Management menu disable TR-069 client ( or ACL & CWMP)
