Yeah, on an average their cut is about 25%. And outlets actually pay that much. Monopoly situation I suppose. And for this very reason many restaurants are launching their own apps to order food such as freshmenu.

Besides that the outlets also pay a fixed amount (bribe) to the food security officers to keep them clear of any troubles related to hygiene and quality.

No doubt the quality of food has gone down in the last 6 months.

I thought freshmenu was an independent platform first and only later it landed on other apps? Dunno. I used to order a lot from their own app years ago. Then they became shit.

I loved their food, they were offering some good stuff. They have certainly become shit. Lol

On related note... This cloud kitchen friend of mine is also looking to launch his own website for accepting orders. If anyone interested here is based in Gurgaon or maybe even NCR... You might be able to get a small project from him. And I am going to say, could result in more similar opportunities from other stores in the locality.

There was a company that contacted these outlets few years ago. Made them all individual websites... But they have disappeared. There is a lot of potential here for small developers.

Hah. Almost all of the old restaurants already have photoshoots done by zomato or swiggy guys.
