Why fuss about a Lagging phone??

not really. i would upgrade the internals of my computer the day it becomes painful to use. but i am stuck with my phone because the resale value is bad and it is hard to find a new model that suits your needs.

most people here do not change their phone for 2-3 years at least. computers do not get outdated that fast. my 3-4 year old desktop run windows 8 wonderfully. but a 3-4 year old phone would not run current mobile platforms wonderfully.

i have known people who cannot keep a phone longer than a year atmost.. but like you say does your old pc work better than your quad core?? I am sure even the quad core would glitch some times for sure...
 
ok here is the thing. iPhone performs better. there can be no doubt about it. but iphone also is horribly restrictive. so there are few points remaining about android that iphone fans can argue about. so laggy interface has become a popular talking point. in the end, i do not mind a laggy phone as long as it is a stock android device. i have tried using iOS. i find it horrible. i cannot stand it. i do not give a shit. period.

i agree iPhone is smoother... people should be happy about their phones and not crib about it being laggy. be patient and enjoy the smart experience. what i am looking for are views as to why people cant be patient with the lag... we all have seen great battles on the lag issue!
 
actually, only iPhone users complain about lag on android devices. most android people are more than happy with their own phones unless you are talking about the older models. current generation phones are pretty cool. my nexus was pretty amazing on 4.1 though things messed up on 4.2.
 
Well the problem with a laggy phone occurs when someone is dictating an address or a phone number, and your address book takes 3 mins to load. :p
 
that was a problem with me on gingerbread. ics sort of resolved that for me. and i have around 7000 contacts in my google account (collected over the years and i am too lazy to clean them up).
 
I recently cleaned up my contact list from 4k+ to 250 or so.Actually i had lag issues with stock ICS and not the stock GB on Mini Pro.But custom roms solved that anyways.And laggy or not, i'm always happy to have more computing power than NASA did when they put man on the moon. :p How much more do i need?
 
well nasa managed to reach moon with that little computing power... you cannot even run tweetbot on your android phone. :D

That's exactly what I had posted about earlier(I think it was in the Galaxy Nexus thread). PC processors are now on a much more mature development curve as opposed to mobile processors which are still catching up. I cannot think that even after the next 5-6 iterations, Android OS would become so demanding that the Nexus 4 won't be able to run it.
