Why is there no NDTV on Jio Fibre TV?

demand does not dictate anything. There is a sizable demand for the Hotstar app on older LG smart TVs (older version of WebOS), yet both LG and Hotstar have refused to do anything about it.

No action taken on demand would be another case. In a practical market, it reacts to demand where there is profit, which in turn generates capital.
As you mentioned, WebOS was not that popular prior to takeover by LG. So it could be a possibility that the app code may have not been compatible with WebOS (I am assuming the very initial version), else only LG/Hotstar can answer.

Jio tells you clearly what subscriptions it gives. JioTV+ isn’t a regulated TV provider, it is just a compilation of live channels from the OTTs it provides on its own platform. The complaint that NDTV isn’t available is based on the assumption that it’s your right to be given all channels, which is not the case here. Jio isn’t under any such compulsion, it has full right to provide whatever services they want to. Yes the reason can simply be that Ambani absolutely hates NDTV, and Jio is still not breaking any law or commitment to customers by not allowing NDTV.

Seems like you wish to disregard personal opinions of another member, who just like yourself, has the right to their free opinion?

The point of my prior message was this: not to bring unnecessary politics into a technical discussion about the offerings of JioFiber "Live TV" service. Bringing up who likes whom, and who supports whom, and who does what based on who is in power, is often the start to often poignantly dramatic and characteristically long "online fights", which has unsurprisingly tainted other online arenas like Reddit and Facebook, or even Twitter too.

If you think that a post, with not a single swear word, but ordinary use of very colloquially accepted phrases admonishing and preventing another tried and tested strategy to start such a "political online debate" on this platform, appears too derogatory to you, you may go ahead and report it. The mature thing to do however is to understand what I said initially: just like you, I too have the right to express my opinion; and if another member agrees with mine, there's absolutely no need in condescending anyone else who extends support to that opinion.

Nevertheless, my post has been let off with a warning and I respect and appreciate the gesture from the moderators.
