Wow, thanks a lot Vishal bro. Now I am curious about a few things like what if I had to download a game through steam? Will the load balancer balance the download perfectly? And simultaneously if I play an online FPS game will I see some ping spikes? How reliable is the load balancer? As you have a lot of experience with it can you share the pros and cons about it? Right now it looks amazing to see what I can do with all the good stuff it offers. Instead of crying for high speed plans from excitel I can directly create my own 😁
 
@vishalrao I have Intel AX210 in my desktop PC as well as my wife’s laptop which I installed myself in place of older chip. To be fair, my current RT-AX88U does 160Mhz channel width (2400Mbps link)when set to Channel 40 on 5 Ghz. The 6 Ghz channel will give you exact same link speed (2400Mbps) but with reduced range for obvious reasons. So you don’t even need Intel AX210. Intel AX200 would work as well to get 2400Mbps.

My interpretation of Wifi6e: It is exactly same as Wifi6 router having 160Mhz channel width. We gotta wait for Wifi7 launching at the end of this year. It has 320Mhz channel width and it would make true utilisation of 6Ghz band (4800Mbps link) as this is not possible on 5Ghz with 2 antennas.
 
Yup the TP-Link xe75 is 2x2 mumimo and both wifi 6 and 6e max 2400 link spec...

I get 2400 link speed with my PC addon card and laptop ax201 chips.
 
@Baby Clasher the load balancer is pretty reliable in my usage over the past few months since I got it.

I don't do gaming nor have I done steam downloads but as far as I understand online games keep their connection open at all times so should not be affected by load balancer.

Steam downloads and any kind of download will only take advantage of the load balancer if it downloads over multiple simultaneous connections. So things like torrent download or using download manager is full combined speed.

For things like operating system updates download by default it's single connection so will be hampered unless you configure windows to download update from other computers (like p2p) or use a tool like apt-fast for ubuntu based operating systems.

Not many disadvantages come to mind... Except few things like traceroute might give wrong result due to each request going via different connection.
 
@vishalrao - how's the range of the xe75? Especially through walls. I need to buy one for my parents house and was confused between this and the x60 which is slower but you get 3 nodes. The house is approximately 3000 sq-ft and has two floors.
 
@manu1991 the xe75 used the 6ghz band for shared backhaul with 6e enabled or you can make it dedicated backhaul by disable 6e. In any case I expect the backhaul to be poor with indian walls so I recommend getting the x60 set.

I'm using wired backhaul and the wifi 6 range of the 5ghz band is good.

Now, I recently got a Moto edge 30 non pro phone which is supposed to be 6e enabled but it doesn't show the 6e wifi and I don't have another device to check so don't know whether it's the phone that has it disable or the xe75 Deco app is lying about the 6e band being enabled LoL ... I suspect that it's the phone.
 
I bought a single x60 unit and I get proper gigabit speed, well, above 800 mbps at least, on my Dell PC with wifi AC 160mhz.

Wifi range of the xe75 is very good thru walls for the 5ghz wifi 6 band.
 
Thanks. Yeah I expect the backhaul to be poor with 6e. Although the internet is only 300 Mbps and not 1 Gbps so shouldn't be that bad.

I am trying to figure out if I can connect the two nodes through a wired link. If that works then I will get the XE75, else the X60
 
hey guys need some help, I am using the TP-Link Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX210 160MHz PCI wifi card ( driver 22.160.0.4) on a Windows 11 system and have the AXE5400 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E Router. I am unable to see the 6ghz signal at all. The 2.4 and 5ghz work fine but no 6GHz. My phone can see the 6e signal (which is still a 5ghz band). Was wondering if this a geo lock or just a bad PCI card. I also don't have any other device that can see the 6Ghz to test it beyond this PCI card.
 
@CyrilDabs which phone? Can you activate 6E hotspot on phone and see if your Intel card can connect? Or vice versa?

You mentioned your phone can see 6E but on 5ghz band but that doesn't sound right because 6E is 6ghz only.
