I m using the bigpond 3G9WB router... I found it better than the Huawei E960... Both are available at a price of 4.5k-5k approx... BTW E5830 is a MIFI device which is basically a 3G Wifi router with a battery to use on the go & so is very costly... My guess is it should cost approx 8-10k in india...
As dushie mentioned u can also use a usb modem with router combo & that should cost u around 3-3.5k for the router & 2.8-2.9k for a UMG 1831 usb modem... Although this is a costlier option u have an option of 21 Mbps connection if ur provider can provide that speed. Both the 3G9WB & E960 routers are only 7.2 Mbps max... BSNL has already started implementing 14.4 Mbps in the south & we expect all india by march or april... So the UMG1831 + USB router combo seems to be the best choice today ...
As Dushie and rajadeep said always better to have two devices with combined usage. ( separate modem + separate router ).
If any thing goes wrong, you can replace modem or router individually without replacing the whole unit.
When required you can change the modem only, for higher configuration.
On travel the modem alone can be taken away for roaming, leaving the router at home to be utilised by others with BBand line connection ( if available, as in my case ).
BTW I haven't researched this yet but I wonder if these USB routers will work with the future LTE modems we might get from Infotel or other companies... If they can then that would be another big plus ...
