Will Sony Ericsson W350 from USA work in India?

Would like to know if the Sony Ericsson W350 purchased in USA will work in India? The phone is Tri-band (850/1800/1900).

Thanks. Yes, I plan to get it unlocked but my biggest concern was that most of the Indian carriers being on band 900 instead of 850.
