This is for a bedroom and will be used primarily during nights.

I was wondering if spending more on a dual inverter AC would be worth it if the AC was running for about 8 hours in a day.

Any recommendations?

Do you have any issues with ACs needing gas refilling every year after 2-3 years? Voltas used to have a 5 year AMC pack which covers everything so is very useful in those cases.

Dual ones should be fine with cooling. My area sees a normal of 46-47C in the day and have seen people opting for Panasonic, LG's, Daikin.

If you are going to run it only for a season , then going for Dual won't make much sense, although running with dual for 8H will help you with economical energy use, season or not.

I think @Sushubh opted for Daikin, while @mikrotik opted for Voltas.

Most branded AC's will do their job regardless of being Inv or non-inv. What will matter more is the ASS. LG, Voltas are the brands I know who have their own in house support, unlike others who have mostly outsourced to 3rd party agencies.

He is looking for a window AC. The only window AC i have is a really old Hitachi which is still running very well after nearly 12 years. Two Generals that are also running fine after 15 years.

I would probably buy a LG window AC today. But they are quite pricey if you go for the five star variants.

If I remember correctly, my Sharp AC developed a leak after about 5 years. I’ve shifted to a new place, so I will have to check with the neighbors about this.

I have a Voltas split AC which I bought from Cliq and it has a 1+4 years of AMC.

Er... You didn't mention you are looking for a window AC. You should be fine with any of the Japanese brands. O'Geneal, Hitachi, Mitsubishi.
