There are reports that MS has scaled back on testing and fired most of its QA team. Why pay them to find bugs when users can do it for free for you?

Yeah CachyOS is worth a try just for kicks... for long term, plain old Ubuntu latest LTS (next one coming in end-April) should suffice, especially now that they include latest kernel version so drivers, stability etc should be good as new.

it has been ongoing for a long time. forcing edge on users. opening help documents as bing search results IN edge despite it not being your default browser. killing license keys when you update your bios or change some settings (happened twice to me and there are tons of stories online). ads and recommended apps in start menu. bing search results in search menu. simplifying UI which makes things messy for people using windows for decades. cortana integration and now copilot. there is so much wrong with windows. i am glad kids today do not deal with windows (if they have resources) and have just migrated to ios/macos. this company deserves no sympathy and should just rot and die.
